In the Upper Midwest, Let McVay Lead the Way

Facing the 19th century wilderness that became the Twin Cities area, settlers often engaged the services of former voyageurs to establish direction, guide them on their journeys, and deal with the unknown. Their modern-day counterparts, stepping into the frontier of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD, and modern manufacturing design and engineering processes like simulation and production, can similarly depend on Ryan McVay.

Geometric Solutions, a Siemens PLM Software partner, has named Ryan the Account Manager as it expands into Minnesota. Ryan says, “You can be confident that I will take the time to understand your business goals and strategies in order to provide you with meaningful solutions.”

With his knowledge and experience, Ryan will set you on the path to success. He understands what works and how to best adapt technology to address your specific needs with software, engineering processes, and change management.

A graduate of Bethel University, St. Paul, Minnesota, Ryan has 23 years’ experience in the field as a system designer, analyst, and administrator; developer of client educational tools; trainer and coach; project manager; and consultant.

Ryan shares a U.S. patent for improving the design of an air filter for gas turbine systems, he has worked as a contributing author for Engineering.com, and he is a guest blogger at Siemens PLM Community. In a sense, at Geometric Solutions he has come full circle: His first position in 1994 was with Siemens PLM, where he provided onsite customer technical training and support to one of Minnesota’s largest companies.

“When you seek answers you want to talk one-on-one with someone knowledgeable,” says Tom Gaunt, Managing Director at Geometric Solutions. “In addition to his knowledge, Ryan brings to the table ingenuity, experience, communication skills, and especially his engineering systems expertise.”

“Over the years, I’ve learned PLM is more than just engineering data management,” says Ryan. “It is a complete process we will explore together.”

Through that exploration, Ryan hopes to lead you to the ultimate destination: “Building a stellar organization that can better adapt to new technologies, markets, and challenges. With the combined experience and skills of Geometric Solutions’ team we will help you achieve your goals and enjoy successful technology transitions.”
